Vegan burger with spinach and peppery red onions

In collaboration with our friends over at WIBERG, we've created this special burger recipe. This burger is topped with spinach and caramelised onions. The pink peppercorns give this dish an extra special kick. 


Makes approx. 20 portions 
  • 1kg bag Easy Mix Burger
  • 1600g onions
  • 400g baby spinach 
  • 40 slices of bread 
  • approx. 20tsp raw cane sugar
  • WIBERG pink peppercorns  
  • WIBERG plum vinegar, for drizzling
  • Salt 
  • 20tbsp olive oil

      • Mix up the burger according to the instructions and chill. 
      • While the mix is chilling, peel the onions and chop into strips.
      • Wash the spinach.
      • Heat 10tbsp of the olive oil in a pan, sauté the onions briefly and caramelise with the sugar. Remove from the pan. 
      • Heat up the rest of the oil in the same pan. Fry the spinach until it begins to wilt. Season with salt and pepper. 
      • Toast the bread.
      • Once cooled, make patties with the burger mixture and cook according to the instructions on the pack.
      • Assemble your burger. Suggested order: Spinach, burger, braised onions, vinegar and peppercorns.
      • Serve and enjoy!
